Meet Jhéanell Westonberry
Jhéanell Westonberry is a visionary romance writer, filmmaker, and homemaker who artfully weaves together themes of love, culture, and spirituality in her work. With a passion for storytelling, she creates love stories where Black women are adored unapologetically and passionately, blending vivid imagery with the soulful rhythms of R&B, Hip Hop, and Jamaican Dancehall to craft captivating experiences while helping her readers make their daily lives feel as magical as the romance stories she writes.
Her love of literature began in toddlerhood when her mother taught her to read before she even started school. By 9, Jhéanell knew she wanted to be a writer, and at 10, she became a published poet featured among New York’s top young poets. It was in junior high school, inspired by her mother’s romance novels, that she discovered her true calling—romance storytelling. She filled notebooks with handwritten tales of love, dreaming of the stories she would one day share. Now, through her self-titled platform, Jhéanell shares both her fictional works and personal reflections, creating a space where storytelling, homemaking, faith, and creativity intertwine. Today, through her self-titled platform, she shares both her fictional narratives and personal reflections, creating a haven where storytelling, homemaking, faith, and creativity flourish.
